Young artist comes out on top
St George's had cause for celebration this week (Friday 26 January), as one of our hugely talented artists at the Junior School received a very special prize.
Back in the Autumn of 2017, Year 6 pupil Serenna Copsey and her family submitted one of her fantastic art pieces (a Chuck Close inspired portrait of her brother which can be seen below) in the Rise Art Prize Young UK Artist of the Year Competition.
Then, just after Christmas, Serenna and her family were delighted to receive news that out of all the other hopefuls that had submitted art work, Serenna had won the Primary School category and would be awarded a special prize.
St George's would like to offer a huge congratulations to Serenna on this amazing achievement and hopes she continues to create such wonderful artwork.
