Year 5 pupils learn about family history and World War 1

Pupils in Year 5 at St George’s Junior School, Weybridge have been learning about family history and World War 1.

Mrs Anne Nash, mother of School staff member Mrs Elizabeth Drapper, recently led a series of fascinating workshops about her own family history.

Pupils were encouraged to look for clues about the past through examining artefacts and studying Census returns and also found out about Mrs Nash’s relatives who took part in World War 1.
