Year 2 enjoy a magical Christmas adventure

At the end of the Christmas term (11 December), boys and girls in Year 2 were thrilled to make an unexpected surprise visit to the Junior School Library to travel on 'The Polar Express', drink hot chocolate in the 'Polar Express' Café and to meet Father Christmas and his adorable helper, Teddy the ‘Reindeer’.

It was certainly a fantastic finish to their Christmas topic which was linked to the story of 'The Polar Express'. All of the children wore their pyjamas and were inspired to write wonderful and exciting stories as a result.

The Junior School Library would like to thank Father Christmas firstly, who gave every child a copy of 'The Polar Express' and answered all of their questions, even the challenging ones, and secondly Teddy the Shetland Pony, who was a big hit with the children. If the children put their candy canes in their bedrooms they may just receive another visit from Father Christmas on Christmas Eve!
