Upper Sixth celebrate RE in local schools with special Mass

On Thursday 15 March, 300 primary school children from St George’s Junior School, Holy Family, St Charles Borromeo and St Anne’s School all came together with their Sixth Form mentors for Mass at St George's College Chapel.

For the past two terms, Upper Sixth students from St George's College have been going out to each of the local schools and helping to teach primary school pupils, as well as help them prepare some artwork and drawings as well as readings for this Mass.

The Mass affirmed the relationships that had been formed and provided an opportunity for the children to display their work. Every school contributed something very special to the Mass and everyone enjoyed a rousing rendition of ‘Rise and Shine’ at the end lead by St George's Junior School, all of the children sang beautifully.

Once Mass was celebrated, all of the school children went to the Orchard Hall with their Sixth Form mentors where they were treated to some Easter treats.
