The Great St George’s Lower School Bake Off 2015
Friday 15 May saw the final of the Lower School Bake Off Competition at St George’s College, Weybridge.
The heat was definitely on in the kitchen as competitors from the First and Second Year were tasked with creating six identical savoury pastries of their choice in a bid to impress the judges.
After a round of heats, Hannah McMillian (2LMW), Tessa Shahbo (1KAW), Clodagh Stamp (1GIH) and Jemima Carter (2RJL) made it through to represent their school houses in the final. The judges had a very difficult time placing the competitors as each competitor produced a very different and extremely tasty dish. After much deliberation the places and points were awarded to the School Houses as follows:
1st Place: Petre - Tessa made salmon, lemon and dill puff parcels
2nd Place: Kilmorey - Hannah made cheeky leek parcels
3rd Place: Southcote - Clodagh made cheese and paprika roses
4th Place: Stirling - Jemima made chicken, bacon and sweet corn mini pies
