The Big Hush raises £3,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support

The First Year students at St George’s College, Weybridge recently took part in a sponsored silence, known as the Big Hush, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Remaining silent for the morning was a tough task for some but the £3,500 sponsorship money raised was outstanding.

Jessica Blake, Macmillan Cancer Support’s Fundraising Manager for Surrey, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to all the pupils and staff at St George’s College for their ongoing support over the years, and of course for all the very generous friends and family who help to raise the thousands of pounds each year! £3,500 will make such a big difference in the local community in helping us reach more people affected by cancer, and ultimately make sure no one faces cancer alone.”
