St George's remembers Ivor Facey

It is with great sadness that St George’s has to inform the Georgian Family of the sudden death of Mr Ivor Facey.

Mr Facey was our very popular Teacher in Charge of Resistant Materials, who left St George’s this summer in order to take on an exciting new challenge – a degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics at the University of Salford.

Mr Facey died as a result of complications following a motorcycle accident on Friday 3 August. There is a Book of Condolence in the College Chapel, which is available to all members of our community.

We are sure you will join us in keeping Mr Facey’s family in your thoughts and prayers at this time.

Ivor's family have also set up a Just Giving Fundraising page in memory of Ivor, who was an avid supporter of Diabetes UK during his lifetime. Now we can join together and make this donation a fitting tribute to this special man. Here is a link to Ivor's page:
