Second Year Academic students research the Concept of Truth

Second Year Academic students at St George's College invited guests to a special presentation of their project on the Concept of Truth on Tuesday 12 February.

The project was created for them by Ms Pat George (previously Head of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the College) and involved a series of workshops including ‘The True Story of the Three Little Pigs’, ‘Can we Know Anything for Certain?’ and ‘Can we Trust our Senses?’.

The conversations were lively and project work was highly imaginative – with students reworking traditional fairytales in handmade pop-up books to illustrate the complexities of truth-telling.

The presentation was most warmly received by the audience staff, parents and Fifth Year RS students. Indeed, many were impressed that Second Year students were able to unpack philosophical problems in such a creative way.
