Nursery celebrate the Chinese New Year in style

Nursery children welcomed in the Chinese New Year in style this week (6 Feb), as they ate their very own Chinese banquet.

After making their own special Chinese lanterns and creating a dragon out of their hand prints, the children sat down to a feast of Chinese delicacies including noodle and rice dishes, prawn crackers and even fortune cookies that they got to take home.

For many of the children, it was also the first time that they used Chinese chopsticks, so there was a lot of laughter and determination on the faces of our pupils as they tried to figure out how to use the chopsticks, but almost everyone got there in the end.

Later in the week, the children also built their very own Great Wall of St George's, which again, was a lot of fun and the children worked well together to complete the mighty structure.

On behalf of the Nursery children and everyone at St George's Weybridge, we would like to offer a big Happy Chinese New Year to the Georgian Family.
