New Deli Bar option at lunch time proves very popular

From the beginning of the Summer Term, students at St George’s College, Weybridge have been offered the additional option of a Deli Bar service at lunch times, where on a trial basis students are able to come and choose a type of bread, baguette or wrap, filling and accompaniments to suit their taste, so that a fresh sandwich can be made for them.

They are also able to have either a bottle of water or carton of orange juice, fruit and yoghurt that are all in a recyclable bag for them to either consume in the dining room or out on the piazza.

And so far, it’s proving very popular indeed.

Meanwhile, of course, students are still offered an alternative full hot lunch option, salad bar and all the other healthy food choices as before.

“We simply want to offer more choice and variety and the option on beautiful summer days to be able to enjoy the glorious grounds at St George’s, whilst still maintaining energy levels through a suitable lunch,"  says Head of Catering Mrs Claire Lynch.
