Lower Years bookworms enjoy a celebratory spot of tea
Fifteen excited Lower Years pupils from St George's Junior School celebrated winning the Summer Reading Challenge on Thursday 27 September, with a delicious and very grown up spot of afternoon tea.
Back in the summer, these children read as many books as they could, and they were finally rewarded this term for all their efforts. As well as enjoying some afternoon tea and tasty sandwiches, all of the children also made their own colourful and wacky bookmarks.
To top it all off, they were each presented with a Paddington Bear book as a prize, to celebrate Paddington's 60th Birthday. What a wonderful treat!
