Launch of Student Services a great success
The start of the Christmas Term saw the launch of the new Student Services Unit in the former Book Room at St George's College, Weybridge. The Student Services Unit was created to bring a number of the College’s administrative services into one place, with 12 hour access Monday to Friday during term time from 7 am to 7 pm.
The new team consists of Rebecca Macefield, Student Services Manager, Martina Ennis, Book Room Assistant, Toni Porter, Reprographics Technician, and Student Services Assistants; Lynn Gough, Nicola Clarence, and Angela Foskett. The team is based in the Student Services Unit, near to the College Chapel.
The Student Services team is responsible for being a general information point for the students. The team supports students who have arrived late, who need new student cards, who need to sign in and out of School, who have lost property, frequently updating the information screens at the front of the Student Services unit, and by providing general support to the student body. The team also provides secretarial support to the teaching staff, operates the College reception, manages the School’s stationary supplies along with the printing needs of the School.
The launch of the department has been a great success, with the School embracing the new team, which sees over 60 pupils a day.4 December 2014
