Sixth Former finishes 7th in Junior World Rowing Championships
Fionnuala Gannon, Lower Sixth Form student, made her foray into international rowing at the Junior World Rowing Championships in Hamburg last week. Fionnuala was part of the Great Britain Women’s IV.

World Challenge Team 4 returns from Tanzania
World Challenge Team 4 have all safely returned from Tanzania. All 19 made it to the "Roof of Africa" and enjoyed a terrific month that included painting classrooms, teaching English, Safari and of course a week long trek up and down Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m).

World Challenge: Costa Rica blog
Two weeks into the trip and it feels like a lifetime. For me the time has been very enjoyable but with long days sometimes starting at 6am and finishing around 11pm it feels like I´m pretty much Costa Rican.

Music tour blog day one and two
We have had a great time so far, having played a number of team quizzes on the coach journey, done a flashmob at the Sacre-Couer in Paris, performed a stunningly well-received concert at La Madeleine and enjoyed some fantastic French food.

Author William Hussey visits the College
On July 3, author William Hussey visited St George’s College to give three presentations. He started the day by discussing the writer’s craft with the Sixth Form English students, followed this with a terrifying mock witch trial with the First Years and finally gave a haunting talk on the Gothic genre to the Second Years.

College students visit local school on music outreach project
On Monday morning, six pupils from the Fifth Year and Sixth Form travelled to the Marist Catholic Primary School in Byfleet as part of a music outreach project, keen to captivate the next generation of aspiring musicians.

College victorious in Trinity Schools' T20 competition
On Monday 30th June the 1st XI played in the inaugural Trinity Schools’ T20 competition. It proved to be an amazing day as we ran out overall winners and also remained unbeaten! We beat Trinity, Reigate Grammar School and Epsom College.

College defeats Yarm School at Henley Royal Regatta
College parents, grandparents, students and staff were delighted to watch the College 1st VIII achieve a memorable win at Henley Royal Regatta this morning. Acknowledged as being one of the youngest College crews ever to qualify for Henley, the boys took the lead from the start against Yarm School and eventually won by 5 lengths.
