Junior School pupils stand and deliver at Catenian Public Speaking Event

Two pupils from St George's Junior School took part in the Catenian Public Speaking Event at St Dunstan's in Woking on Wednesday 13 March, having been selected to represent the school after the inter-house Public Speaking event in February.

Both of our pupils performed extremely well, delivering their speeches superbly, with poise, confidence and skill. There were a myriad of fascinating topics throughout the evening, including talks on the environment, teamwork, sugar, learning English (the winner), living with a disabled sibling and space.

St George's was delighted to see one of our pupils stand up and deliver as they secured second place in this prestigious event - a tremendous effort considering how nervous both our pupils were beforehand.

Well done again to both pupils who performed exceptionally well and also to the English Department for all their hard work helping the children prepare.
