Junior School Library donates hundreds of books to Marjory Kinnon School
At the start of July, the Junior School Library donated a car-full of books to Marjory Kinnon School in Feltham after having a big clearout of all the old books they had in stock.
Marjory Kinnon School recently opened a new Library so that all the children could spend the summer reading with a new book (or two). However, the school was short of books, and after 'weeding' the library at St George's Junior School, it became apparent that St George's could offer a helping hand and donate hundreds of books to Marjory Kinnon.
So, on Thursday 5 July, representatives from Marjory Kinnon came to St George's and were greeted by Junior School helpers who loaded up a car full of books suitable for all ages and covering every genre possible.
The pupils made several trips between the car and the library, much to the delight of the Marjory Kinnon representatives, who were overwhelmed by the generosity shown by St George's.
The shelves at the Marjory Kinnon Library will now be full of colourful, exciting, creative books that will hopefully inspire a love of reading for many generations of children.
