Junior School celebrate 'New Beginnings'

The start of the new School Year has been celebrated in spectacular fashion at the Junior School with the whole school gathering together outdoors to sing ‘Rise & Shine’ – led by Headmaster, Antony Hudson, along with all the actions!

The children in Years 3 – 6 had begun the day with Mass in the School Chapel celebrated by College Chaplain, Fr Martin, after which they joined all the other children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and 2 outside to sing their hearts out!

All the children were wearing different mementos to celebrate the fact that St George’s is also celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year: the Nursery children were wearing white ‘Legionnaire’ caps, with Reception – Year 2 children wearing maroon ‘Baseball’ caps.

Meanwhile, all the boys in Years 3-6 were sporting specially made ties in school colours – all inscribed with the ‘Celebrate 150’ Logo, while the girls in those year groups wore lapel broaches with the same logo.
