Fifth Year retreat
This morning, students in the Fifth Year took part in the first retreat of the year. The retreat began with a focus on inclusiveness and collaboration, which are the Josephite words of the year, with a series of outdoor activities.
The focus of the retreat then shifted to look the student’s ability to see and appreciate excellence in themselves and others. This was explored by the students through the use of freeze frame drama. In groups, the students created a scene to symbolise the theme which was then explained to the rest of the year group.
The students have been greatly enjoying the retreat so far and the rest of the day will be bringing them lots more interactive ways to explore and understand the themes they are discussing.
