Careers lunch with Giles Turrell, CEO of Weetabix
At the end of last week, twelve Upper Sixth Business and Economics students at St George’s College in Weybridge were exceptionally fortunate to have the pleasure to meet and have lunch with Giles Turrell, CEO of the Weetabix Food Company.
Lunch started with an informative presentation from Mr Turrell, giving an insight into the fascinating and dynamic world of the Weetabix Company.
Mr Turrell’s remit to expand the brand internationally was of particular interest as he focused on different ways this can be achieved, through investment and potential mergers.
Mr Turrell also spoke about the key business objectives of Weetabix, focusing particularly on the nutritional aspects that continually drive the development of the brand.
After the presentation, students were given the opportunity to ask Mr Turrell any questions they had covering all aspects of his career and the challenges he faced on the way.
