British Food Fortnight

British Food Fortnight is a national celebration of our British food, and the health benefits and pleasures of eating quality, fresh, seasonal and regionally distinct produce. The Fourth year GCSE Food and Nutrition students at St George's College, Weybridge, were set the challenge of preparing, making and presenting a range of traditional British dishes.

Dishes made included: Toad in the Hole, Shepherd’s Pie, Chicken Pie, Cornish Pasties, Scotch Eggs, Apple Crumble, Scones, Trifle, Bread & Butter Pudding, Victoria Sandwich Cake, Butterfly Cakes, Treacle Sponge, Eton Mess and Bakewell Tart.

The students enjoyed making the dishes and tasting them afterwards!
