1st Year students do the Bard

On Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May, 1st Year pupils at St George’s College, Weybridge, took to the stage to perform a range of Shakespeare plays.

Over the two evenings, audiences in the Amanda Smith Theatre were treated to adaptations of four of the Bard’s best known works: The Tempest, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Rehearsed only during lesson time, the performances were rich with all the energy and excitement one would expect from a Shakespeare play, and the experience was an excellent opportunity for the boys and girls to work together as a creative team.
