‘The Pedagogical Guide’ is an integral part of everyday life at St George’s Junior School, Weybridge, which gives advice to guide pupils about the way they study and play, as well as how they should treat one another and other people.
The advice was originally put together in the 1800s by Constant van Crombrugghe, the founder of the Josephites and, whilst the Guide has been adjusted and updated over the years, its main guidance remains as relevant today as it did two hundred years ago.
Not one weekly staff meeting at the Junior School goes by without a considered reference to one of the Guide’s themes and what this means. The image below is a simple summary of the Pedagogical Guide's main themes:
