Students wishing to enter the Sixth Form at 16+ are encouraged to attend our dedicated Sixth Form Open Evening in September or a separate individual visit by arrangement with the Head of Sixth Form.
Process for application
When parents feel that St George’s is a strong possible choice for their son or daughter, they are encouraged to register online. Registrations must take place before 31 October in Year 11.
Selection criteria and process
Once completion of the registration form and payment of the registration fee is made, a reference from the applicant's current school will be requested and interviews for all candidates will take place on a Saturday in early November.
A minimum of six Grades 7-9 at GCSE are required for entry. Following the interview and receipt of a positive reference, provisional offers are made dependent upon GCSE results; acceptance will be confirmed once results have been officially received in August.
All parents accepting provisional offers are required to pay a deposit which is non-refundable, except where the College withdraws the offer of a place following publication of GCSE results in August.
Academic, Music, Art, Drama and Sport scholarships are available at 16+.
If you wish to apply, please complete the 16+ Scholarship Application Form and relevant Summary Form available on the Admissions Downloads page and submit them to the Admissions Office with the registration form by the deadline of 31 October.
