Sixth Form

Students wishing to enter the Sixth Form at age 16 must arrange a formal visit and preliminary interview with the Head of Sixth Form.

Scholarships can be awarded for Music, Art, Drama and Sport. If you should wish to apply, please complete the Scholarship Application Form and submit it to the Admissions Department with the registration form by the deadline of 22nd October. We will then arrange a suitable date to observe you in your sport or conduct an audition for Drama or Music. The audition/practical will then be followed by a formal interview with Senior Staff. For an Art Scholarship, the presentation of a portfolio will be part of the interview process. All students who apply for a place at St George’s Sixth Form will be interviewed. Academic Scholarships are awarded to students who achieve 10 A* grades at GCSE level or equivalent in points across 10 subjects. This is confirmed on result day in August. Academic Scholarships are normally honorary and so do not carry any fee remission. All other aspects of the Scholarship Programme remain the same.

Once completion of the registration form and payment of the registration fee is made, a reference from the applicant's current educational establishment will be requested as part of the admissions procedure. Students will be asked for a minimum of 6 A grades at GCSE for entry. All parents accepting places are required to pay a non-refundable deposit.

Candidates will be provisionally offered a place dependent upon GCSE results. This will be confirmed once the results have been officially received in August.

The College reserves the right to change the above process and description at any time.
