Year 5 help celebrate 'All Saints' Feast Day

Pupils at St George's Junior School gathered together on Wednesday 1 November in the Chapel to celebrate the Feast of 'All Saints'.

The Masses were celebrated by Fr Adrian and Year 5 were tasked with helping to celebrate and organise the Upper Years' Mass, which involved the pupils reading the bidding prayers, taking part in the offertory procession and some of the children helped Fr Adrian by being alter servers.

As well as this, at the beginning of Mass the Junior Orchestra gave its first ever performance, accompanying the Upper Years singing ‘O when the saints’. The Orchestra was directed by Mrs Hooley-Smith, Director of Music.

During Communion, the Chamber Choir then sang the premiere performance of ‘O quam gloriosum’, a motet written specially for them by Mr Lloyd, Organist & Choral Specialist at the Junior School.
