Triumph at English Competition

On Thursday 4 May, four children from Year 4 were chosen to represent St George’s Junior School in an English competition at Greenfield School in Woking.

There were nine teams in total and the children were required to work together to complete different challenges. The rounds included a Spelling Bee, anagrams, idioms and writing a story in only 30 minutes. St George's children’s story ‘Jimmy’s Mysterious Silver Spoon’, written by Chloe, Georgia, Yuvan and Oliver, received high praise from the judging panel.

As a result of their brilliant work and creativity, St George’s Junior School was awarded first place in the competition and the children were delighted to be given a trophy to mark their success. Well done to all involved for their fantastic team work and effort.
