The blessing of the 'Georgian Glade'

St George's Junior School opened its wonderful Forest School back in 2015 and on Wednesday 18 October 2017, it was officially named the 'Georgian Glade'.

Father Martin CJ, the College Chaplain, very kindly blessed the area with holy water and said some beautiful words - this new area of the school will be a place of learning, love and enjoyment.

The Junior School has decided to dedicate the area to St Francis of Assisi who loved and cared for the environment and animals and who our dear Pope has chosen for his name – an eco-friendly plaque will be put up in due course.

The children from RESPeCt (RE and SPiritual Committee) attended along with the Year 6 School Councillors, Headmaster, Mr Antony Hudson, as well as Mrs Alison Dawe, Head of the Georgian Glade.
