Sun and success at Lower Years' Sports Day

With the sun shining down on Tuesday 20 June, it was time for the Lower Years' pupils at St George's Junior School to take part in the Lower Years' sports day.

The delighted girls and boys took part in a number of House events, including relay races, obstacle courses, sprints, high jump and throwing contests to see which House would be crowned champions.

With parents cheering and willing them on, the children competed with a wonderful spirit and with huge smiles on their faces.

Year 2:

1st – Hawks

2nd – Owls

3rd – Eagles

4th – Kestrels

Year 1:

1st – Owls

2nd – Eagles

3rd – Hawks

4th - Kestrels

Reception:

1st – Kestrels

2nd – Eagles

Joint 3rd – Hawks and Owls

A special mention must go to all the Nursery children as well who had great fun racing and competing against one another.
