Staff gather at annual service to celebrate the beginning of the School year

All of the teaching and business staff at St George's Weybridge gathered in the Chapel at St George's Junior School on Tuesday 5 September to take part in the annual staff service for the beginning of the School year.

The special service was led by Fr Martin Ashcroft, College Chaplain, and Mr Antony Hudson, Junior School Headmaster, and Mrs Rachel Owens, the College's new Headmistress. There was also a special reflection from Mr Daniel Wright, Deputy Head Staff.

The focus of the gathering was to pray for everyone at St George's for the year ahead and to carefully consider the School's Catholic, Christian, Josephite ethos and what this means.

There was an audible buzz of happiness and excitement at the start of the service as staff greeted one another after the summer break, and all staff present left the chapel eager to start the new school year.
