St George's College amongst top 5% for learning and teaching quality at A Level

St George’s College, Weybridge is amongst the top five per cent of over 2,500 surveyed schools and colleges in the country for the quality of teaching and learning at A Level, it was announced in January (2015).

Alps, an exam organisation (www.alps-va.co.uk), studied the performance of 2,580 schools and colleges across England, Wales and Northern Ireland over the period 2012-2014 and found that the quality of the teaching and learning at St George’s Weybridge had been amongst the top five per cent for the past three years.

Students at the College revelled in their phenomenal success last summer (2014) with the best ever top grade A Level results at the School: 61% of the grades being A* - A, an increase of 12% on last year, whilst 85% of the grades achieved overall are A* - B, reflecting the fact the College encourages every individual to fulfil his or her own personal potential.

The College has the largest co-educational independent school Sixth Form provision in the nearby area and almost all of the Upper Sixth students achieved their first choice university place amongst prestigious Russell Group universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.
