Sir Anthony Seldon enthralls audience at History and Politics Lecture

On Wednesday 3 May, Sir Anthony Seldon addressed an audience of enthralled students, teachers and parents at the College's latest History and Politics Lecture.

Sir Anthony Seldon has written over 35 books on History and Politics with a great range, many tracking the political lives of Prime Ministers in office. He gave a speech comparing David Cameron and Theresa May in their upbringing, age and previous roles within the party. Sir Anthony then went on to explain how these differences may affect the way in which Mr Cameron governed and how Mrs May will govern. Percy Fagent (Upper Sixth) gave a vote of thanks after a period of excellent questions put to Sir Anthony by both parents and students.

The History and Politics lectures given at St George's College continue to be given by the most influential people and have enjoyed hugely. The next one is on 16 October 2017. One hundred years on from the Russian Revolution, Dr George Gilbert from the University of Southampton will remind us about the significance of the event. If the last two History and Politics lectures are anything to go by, then you will not want to miss this lecture!
