One journey ends...and another begins as Upper Sixth celebrate Leavers’ Mass

One journey ended...and another began on Friday 11 May, as Upper Sixth students celebrated their Leavers' Mass.

In a highly emotional ceremony, Fr Martin Ashcroft, CJ, College Chaplain led the Upper Sixth through their final Mass at St George's as students.

With stunning musical interludes from three of the Upper Sixth students, all part of the College Chamber Choir, and special readings from the departing Captains of School, it was no surprise that there were one or two tears shed.

Fr Martin and Head of Sixth Form, Mandy Smith, also imparted the students with more wisdom and heartfelt messages as the students embark on the next exciting chapter in their lives. The students were also presented with special prayer books to remember St George's.

As is tradition at St George's, the form Tutors and teaching staff then formed a guard of honour at the back of the Chapel to celebrate the students and to bid them one last farewell.
