Junior School gymnasts vault, jump and twirl their way to success

On Saturday 21 January, the Under 9 boys, Under 9 girls and Under 11 girls travelled to St Faith’s School in Cambridge to compete in the ISGA 4 Piece National Gymnastics Championships.

All of the children had to compete in 4 disciplines which were: set vault, voluntary vault, set floor and voluntary floor. All of the children performed with confidence and poise throughout the day and there were some very positive results.

The Under 9 boys finished in 3rd place overall in the team competition with Luke receiving the individual bronze medal for the all-around competition.

The Under 9 girls finished as runners-up in the team competition with Olivia finishing in 4th place individually in the all-around competition.

The Under 9 girls' team have now qualified for the Premier 5 Piece National Championships in March. A huge congratulations on this brilliant achievement.

The Under 11 girls finished in 5th place overall in the team competition with Caitlin gaining 4th place in the individual all-around competition.

Congratulations to all of the gymnasts involved and for the time spent practicing and preparing in training. A huge thank you and well done to Mrs Waters, Mr Chester and Mrs Henderson as well for their help and support in training sessions beforehand and throughout the day.
