Fourth Year GCSE Food students welcome in Chinese New Year of the Dog

On Monday 19 February, Fourth Year GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition students prepared and displayed a wonderful feast of Chinese dishes to mark the Chinese New Year of the Dog.

The students had great fun cooking a variety of dishes including beef stir fry, sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls, chilli beef, lemon chicken, special chow mien, spare ribs and egg fried rice.

Once again, a big thank you must go to Mrs Hogben from the Junior School Catering team, who produced a magnificent display of carved fruit and vegetables.

All of the students produced a fantastic range of foods and used a variety of traditional equipment e.g. woks and a bamboo steamer. The best bit for everyone involved was definitely tasting the food afterwards!
