GCSE Food students celebrate Chinese New Year 2017
To celebrate Chinese New Year 2017, the Fourth Year GCSE Food students at St George's College cooked and presented a range of Chinese dishes to welcome in the Year of the Rooster, which begins on Saturday 28 January.
The male and female students had great fun making and presenting dishes such as beef stir fry, chicken satay, spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken, special fried rice, chicken chow mein and Chinese cookies.
They produced a fantastic display of food and enjoyed tasting the dishes afterwards. A special thank you must go to Mrs Hogben from the Catering Department, who produced an outstanding centrepiece of carved fruit and vegetables.
