Congratulations to the 'Georgians of the Week' for their brilliant achievements

Two brilliant groups of students were celebrated for this week's Georgians of the Week on Friday 5 May.

First up, nominated by Languages teacher Mr Galanis, three First Year students were congratulated on taking part in the Regional Finals of the French Spelling Bee. Around 7,000 pupils were entered for the first round in this competition and our students performed extremely well in a very difficult quarter final pool, with Jemima making it through to the national finals on June 30 in Cambridge.

The other group of students nominated by Mrs Seymour for Georgians of the week were the four stitchers who helped with the Mount Felix Tapestry (see image below), which is currently on display at the Riverbarn House Arts Centre in Walton.
